USGreentech & Clovernook: A Unique Partnership
It’s hard to replace the “firm, fast and safe” feeling you get while standing on synthetic turf installation. Although there’s nothing really like the real thing when experiencing USGreentech infills, receiving one of our free samples is a close second. However, the added bonus receiving a USGreentech sample is knowing that you are contributing to our efforts to make a sustainable community impact.
Getting one of our samples is more than just getting a jar of infill. Behind our product is a rich story that's worth its weight in gold.
In 2016 when our company was looking for a sample-building process. We were looking for that process to be economical, scalable and one that could lend a hand to others. How can we take this part of our business and use it to make a difference in the lives of others?

Enter, Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired. Clovernook is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “empower people who are blind and visually impaired to be self-sufficient and full participants in their communities.” Clovernook employees over 100 individuals; moreover, over fifty percent of whom are blind or visually impaired. Founded in 1903, they have “evolved into a multi-faceted organization with an array of services and a skilled staff to address the needs of people with visual impairments,” according to their website.
The work they do is truly inspiring. In the video (above), Chris Faust Chief Executive Officer of Clovernook says, "we set up our operations in order to act like a commercial business. So even though we are a non-profit, we do not take anything for granted. We do not expect things to be given to us. Our employees are always looking to provide a ninety-eight or ninety-nine percent success rate in everything they do."
Because of the partnership with USGreentech, Clovernook can employ more people in need and provide more learning and skill-building tasks for their employees. As mentioned in the video (above), Clovernook is one of the largest braille print houses in the United States. However, they also take on a lot of manufacturing and packaging jobs and provide internal and external job placement. Moreover they aim to provide for a wide variety of skill sets. These full-time employees package 90% of the USGreentech samples sent out and have become an extension of our USGreentech team.
